The internet is oversaturated with information on natural living, beauty product recipes, and things you should do TODAY to reduce your toxic load and live a more natural, healthy life.
But how much of that information is reliable?
My name is Victoria Lee and I’ve been in the natural living game for a long time. My mom was a secret hippie with her many plants, homeopathic remedies, and honestly just trying to do things the “natural way” as a means to save money. In high school I researched homemade recipes from body wash to powder blush and in college even started a business selling natural beauty products at farmers’ markets.
Years later—as a mom, wife, and household manager—I’ve gone between seasons of focusing on building that “natural” and “non-toxic” lifestyle for my family and getting overwhelmed by the business of life and the mass amounts of learning involved in this process. These days I focus more on making the best choices I can with the time and money I have to create holistic health with a bent toward living as “naturally” as possible.
Meet the FamiLee! This is my wonderful husband Travis and our pup Annie. The baby in that belly turned out to be our wonderful son and we have another baby on the way!
One thing that has made it possible for me to pursue these health choices are the resources put forth by people who have taken the time to research and present the facts around the countless products out there that claim to be “clean” or “natural.”
With a background in research and writing, I have found a love for getting into the scientific research around holistic health and natural wellness. It’s time consuming and it takes some mental effort for this thin-spread mama, but I just cannot put my time and money into products that are unnecessary or ineffective. I also won’t stand for being duped by all the people out there trying to scare you into buying a product or freaking out about a specific chemical.
So… If you’re like me and you want to make the healthiest choices for you and your family, backed by science, join our community. We offer regular articles combing the facts and myths of natural living, presenting the scientific research, and making product recommendations based on this information.
I never recommend something I don’t support and haven’t researched. I also try to avoid recommending things I don’t find to have good cost value, and I try to always provide a variety of “better” and “best” choices for various price points.
If you want to reduce the noise and find clarity in living as clean and healthy as possible, we’d love to have you stick around.
